Skip Lawrence

William (Skip) Lawrence was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1943. He grew up and attended schools in Howard County, Maryland. Lawrence received a B.F.A. from the Maryland Institute College of Art (1965) and a M.A. from Towson State University, Baltimore, Maryland (1972). Lawrence’s studio and home are in Mount Airy, Maryland.

William Lawrence is co-editor and publisher of The Palette Magazine, a quarterly art publication that provides instruction for the watermedia painter.
